Birkenhead Footbridge
As part of Network Rail’s ‘access for all’ scheme and DDA (disability discrimination act) provision, Vitec was appointed to provide a complete M&E service of the new Birkenhead footbridge, including CIS, CCTV, lighting, telecoms and interconnecting services between platforms. The ‘access for all’ scheme aims to provide better accessibility at stations across the UK with installation of wheelchair accessible ramps and lifts.
